Description

mgg stain principle and procedure

Procedure
  1. Prepare a thin smear and air dry.
  2. Fix smears for 5-10 minutes with methanol.
  3. Stain the smear in May Grunwald working solution for 10 minutes.
  4. Rinse in pH 6.8 buffer.
  5. Stain the slides with diluted Giemsa stain for 30 minutes.
  6. Wash the smears with distilled water and let them dry.
  7. Mount the slide with DPX and examine under microscope.
